The University of Michigan has placed an order for a PLD 3300 Matrix Assisted Pulsed Laser Evaporation (MAPLE) System this week. The three pocket pulsed laser deposition tool will be used for depositing thin polymer films on substrates up to 3” in diameter.

PVD Products shipped its first Gen II PLD Production Tool today. This second generation PLD system for coated conductor applications is capable of depositing YBCO onto 1 km long metal tape.

PVD Products Inc. has received a purchase order for a PLD/MBE 2300 deposition system from Brookhaven National Labs. The PLD/MBE 2300 system is fully High Pressure RHEED compatible and can incorporate up to 3 UHV magnetron sputter or ion and atom sources in the chamber along with six PLD targets as seen in this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZACZhsMY_tE . The PLD/MBE-2300 is ideal for growing a wide variety of complex thin film materials onto wafers up to 2” in diameter with substrate heating to 950°C.

PVD Products announces that it has signed an agreement with Mr. Henry Kim from Applied Science Korea (ASK) to be PVD’s exclusive sales representative in South Korea. Mr. Kim and ASK have many years experience selling thin film vacuum deposition equipment and are well known in Korea for providing high quality of sales and service.
