Innovations in Spintronics: New concepts in spin-based data storage, computation, and communications

Presented by MIT

This is your limited opportunity to view this important webinar presenting latest advances in Innovations in Spintronics.

This insightful one-hour webinar is presented by a leading MIT scientist and will help researchers and developers to better understand:

  • Digital logic applications using hydrogen ions
  • Using electron spin state for low-power computing
  • Magneto-ionic devices
  • Antiferromagnetic spintronics

Our expert speaker, Dr. Geoffrey S.D. Beach, is a professor of materials science and engineering and codirector of the materials research laboratory (MRL) at MIT. His current research interests focus on spin dynamics and “spin-electronics” (or spintronics) in nanoscale magnetic materials and devices. His team is developing ways to store information more densely and to access it more quickly using the magnetization configurations of nanoscale structures. His work aims in part to understand and control spin excitations in magnetic materials whose dimensions approach fundamental magnetic length scales. Professor Beach was awarded the 2021 Mid-Career Award from the IEEE Magnetics Society.
