Systems Engineer

Level: Junior

Position Summary:

Duties:

  • Assist our software engineers to modify our LabVIEW software code used for the control of vacuum based thin film deposition tools
  • Provide input to software engineers as to how to improve software
  • Load and test software on tools on the manufacturing floor and modify as necessary
  • Test and evaluate electrical sub-assemblies for tools on the manufacturing floor
  • Assist in electrical design of electronic equipment on an as-needed basis
  • Provide customer phone/email assistance on various related problems to software and electronics issues
  • Assist in installation of deposition systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Desire and ability to engage productively with a collaborative team
  • Two to three years industrial experience with software code for machine control and data acquisition with strong electronics background
  • Strong computer and presentation skills (Microsoft Office, MRP Software)
  • Minimum BS in related field (electrical engineer, physics, materials science or related field) experience with LabVIEW, Optto22, and motion control a plus

Travel: 5-10% within the US and International
